ENSO is delighted to announce its partnership with the London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC), the manufacturers of the iconic London electric taxi, and ZETI, a UK FinTech that has financed fleets of electric taxis in London. LEVC is leading the charge to provide green mobility solutions that accelerate cleaner cities around the world. Based in Coventry, LEVC is world famous for developing the London black taxi cab. It is wholly owned by Geely, which also owns Volvo, Polestar and Lotus. ZETI is revolutionising transport financing, using technology and data to accelerate the adoption of zero-emission transport. ZETI is working with LEVC to provide fleets of electric taxis to operators in London, charging for those vehicles on a Pay-Per-Mile model. As such, they are an ideal partner for ENSO to deploy in London its Direct-to-Consumer, Tires-as-a-Service, ahead of our wider commercial roll-out. This unique partnership with LEVC and ZETI has been funded by the Niche Vehicle Network, and will deploy ENSO’s range-extending EV tires to over 100 of ZETI’s LEVC electric taxis later this year, targeting substantial improvements in EV range of ≥10%, while measuring tire performance and emissions. This opportunity represents both a strong collaboration with a leading EV-carmaker and a leading EV-fleet financier, and also provides a platform for ENSO to publicly demonstrate our better EV tires and our Direct-to-Consumer business model at scale here in London, ahead of our commercial launch.

What better way to announce the launch of our Crowdcube campaign than to set a World Hypermiling Record. ENSO is incredibly proud to have partnered with Mission Motorsport to smash the World Hypermiling Record on the Renault ZOE at Thruxton Race Circuit, on the very same day that we launched our crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube. We are thrilled to announce that over the last 24 hours a Renault ZOE with ENSO’s range-extending EV tires has shattered the current World Hypermiling Record, achieving a staggering 475.4 miles (765.0 km) on a single charge – 124.5 miles more than the previous 351.0 mile record. An identical Renault ZOE, with its standard OEM tires, also achieved an impressive 424.7 miles. This means that the ENSO range-extending EV tires delivered a further 50.7 miles on the factory fitted OEM tires, and delivered an increase in EV range of 11.9%. Thank you to all who have backed us so far on Crowdcube. Together, we can go further than ever before. https://www.missionmotorsport.org/news/2021/6/10/hypermiling
